iPhone pictures aren’t rotated properly
Ok Tumblr, this is really Apple’s fault for using the bloody EXIF tag to indicate rotation when (as far as I can tell) no one else in the known universe is using it, but…
…given that the iPhone is pretty popular and shows no signs of stopping, and given that Apple is entirely unlikely to change their use of this EXIF tag that no one else uses…
…and given that iPhone users like to email pictures…
Could you please write a little code that looks for pictures when they arrive via email and see if they have this godforsaken EXIF tag, and then automagically rotate the picture and strip the tag?
Flickr does it, somehow. I bet you could too.
If you’d give me this one, I’d probably shut up about everything else for several weeks.
