You know what book I’m not enjoying? This one. I’ve considered myself a huge Chuck P fan and have read every single word of every single book and novel of his, but this one, man, even Snuff was easier to digest.
We’re HUGE Chuck fans. We’ve gone to see him read since his Haunted tour. We own multiple copies of all his works, most are signed. We have a signed photo of me catching a severed arm at the Haunted reading.
My wife and I started reading Pygmy together, out loud. She made fun of me for being unable to read more than a few words at a time.
It vaguely reminds me of Vonnegut. I feel like he’d intersperse bearable prose in between relatively incomprehensible sections.
We left of about 100 pages in. It remains the only book he’s written that we haven’t finished. Maybe I’ll try to give it another shot.
